How to use PU Wood Adhesive

In order to use PU wood adhesive, there’s a simple process you’ll need to follow. We’ve detailed it below & included a video to make the process as easy as possible.

PU adhesive can be used to bond all timbers (wet & dry) as well as concrete, polyurethane foam, expanded polystyrene, and other porous and non-porous materials.

You will need:

The process is extremely simple. We have split it out into 8 steps but it can be completed very simply in a matter of minutes:

  1. Prepare the cartridge by cutting of the top with the Stanley knife
  2. Place the cartridge in a mastic gun
  3. Prepare the items to be bonded
  4. Squeeze out the PU onto one of the pieces that is to be bonded
  5. Clamp the wood together
  6. Wait for 10 minutes
  7. Remove the clamps & test the joints
  8. Cut off any excess material
