Description
Construction Chemicals Fillet Seal is a ready to use (just add water) hydrophobic, non-shrinking repair mortar. It is an integral part of the Construction Chemicals cellar or below ground Tanking System; Wall and floor, wall and wall junctions are vulnerable areas in any below ground tanking system. Fillet Seal is used to create a waterproof flexible fillet at wall/wall and wall/floor junctures.
Form Supplied: Powder
Pack Sizes: 25 Kg bags
Colour range: Grey
Contains: Cement, polymers, and additives
Properties
Forms a water resistant mortar seal that does not shrink and has excellent adhesion to concrete and mortar. Can be used as a general repair mortar where shrinkage must be avoided. Construction Chemicals Fillet Seal has a long pot life, typically 5 hours ensuring that wastage is kept to a minimum.
Usage
Construction Chemicals Fillet Seal should be applied to a damp substrate. When using with the Construction Chemicals Tanking System, apply a 25 mm fillet into all vertical and horizontal joints. It should be applied onto the first coat of
Tanking before it has cured. This will typically be around 1 hour after the application of the Tanking slurry. Care should be taken not to damage the underlying coating.
Allow the Fillet Seal to stiffen for 2 - 3 hours and then apply the second coat of Tanking Slurry to the substrate and over the Fillet Seal. Fillet seal can also be used for filling small holes.
Fillet Seal can also be used as a general repair compound for patch filling of masonry, walls and floors. When cured it has a compressive strength of >40N/mm2.
Do not use in when temperatures are below 5 degrees C.
Coverage
When used as a 25 mm fillet around 1 kg per linear metre will be required. When used as a repair compound 25 kg mixed with water will produce around 15 litres of mortar.
Shelf Life
12 months when stored unopened and above ground in cool dry conditions.
