Fastform Cascamite
Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite is a powder adhesive based upon urea formaldehyde resin. Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite is supplied in both bulk quantities and in unique single shot sachets to minimise wastage.

Application
Choice of Grades
Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite is available is two grades. The choice of grade will depend on ambient temperatures.
Gel Time Guide
Grade W
20ºC 1 - 2 hrs
30ºC 30 mins
70ºC 1.5 mins
100ºC 33 secs
Grade S
20ºC 3.5 - 4.5 hrs
30ºC 90 mins
70ºC 3.5 mins
100ºC 40secs
Mixing
Mixing can be done by either weight or volume. Mixing by weight will give the most accurate and consistent glue mixes. If mixing by weight, mix 2 parts of Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite to 1 part of cold water.
If mixing by volume, then 3.5 measures of Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite are required to 1 measure of cold water. For both methods, mix as follows:
1. Put half the cold water into a non-metallic mixing vessel.
2. Add all the Construction Chemicals Fastform Cascamite powder and stir until dissolved.
3. Add all the remaining water and stir until the mixture is smooth.
The mix is then ready to use. The mixed material will remain usable for approximately 3 hours at 15ºC.
Placement
· Use a stiff brush to apply the mixed adhesive to one surface only.
· Assemble and clamp (pin or screw) the joint whilst the glue is wet.
· Keep the joint under pressure until set (approximately 6 hours at 15ºC).
· A damp cloth can be used to remove excess wet adhesive.
Cleaning of Tools
Tools and equipment may be cleaned using clean cold water before the adhesive has hardened.
