Building Admixtures

Products for sealing concrete or screeds are available including our SBR Bonding Agent. Plasticisers are commonly used in sand/cement mixes and there are several to choose from including liquid admix, maximix and powdered products.

Admix

Admix
Admix is a vinasol resin based admixture and is ideal for bricklaying mortars and renders. Admix will entrane between 18% and 22% of air and meets the requirements of BS4887. Admix is the ideal solution where sand is sharp and makes bricklaying mortars creamy and making it one of the easiest admix systems to use.

Waterproofer and Plasticiser is a cconcentrated Waterproofer and Admixture combined for cement mixes to reduce water permeability and entrain air. It can be used in concrete, renders and mortar to reduce the passage of moisture and suction. It is especially useful in rendering and dry dashing where it is important to prevent too much suction in backing coats.

Rendermix
Construction Chemicals Rendermix is concentrate integral liquid water-proofer incorporating a fungicidal additve and salt Inhibiter for use in rendering after a chemical DPC has been installed. It may also be used in mortar and concrete mixes Rendermix will prevent hygroscopic salt movement causing secondary dampness in rendering.

Rendermix is concentrated and should be mixed at 40:1 with water therefore making it one of the strongest Rendermix in the market. Rendermix will prevent hydroscopic salt movement causing secondary dampness in rendering after chemical injection or DPC installation

SBR Bonding Agent

SBR Bonding Agent
Construction Chemicals SBR is a white styrene butadiene co-polymer used to improve the properties of cement renders, screeds and mortars. It is also used in conjunction with Construction Chemicals Tanking Slurry as a priming coat or tight render basecoat. Used with sulphate-resistant cement it will resist the movement of salts with in wall. SBR Bonding Agent will increase water and abrasion resistance. It also improves the durability of cement renders and has many other uses.
